The Role of the GPMB
The Board monitors and reports on the state of global preparedness for outbreaks, pandemics, and other emergencies with health consequences across all sectors and stakeholders, including the UN system, government, nongovernmental organizations and the private sector. The Board provides an annual assessment of the state of the world’s preparedness for health crises, calling for action where this is need, and advocating with policy-makers and other stakeholders.
